This pendant tells the story of a young prince's growth into a king. The patterns on the side and back are found in several Korean palaces over time. They represent wealth & prosperity, both were found in clothing and architecture in that era. The open space in the front represents the change that comes with time and the ability to see past the current plane of thought. The two dragons signify the circle of life and are to symbolize the Korean culture's cyclical view of time.
